I stayed at the Amethyst Lodge January 29. My boyfriend and I stay at your hotel each time we pass through Jasper because of your consistent service and hospitality. This time we had our dog with us and you were so nice in allowing him to stay with us. The morning that we left, I forget a very special pair of earrings in our room and did not realize they were lost until we had almost arrived home in Edmonton. I phoned your hotel and spoke with a staff member from the housekeeping department. He was so reassuring and told me the earrings had been found and would be mailed to me. I received them 3 days later. I am so grateful to the staff working Jan 30 morning for getting those earrings back to me. You can count on us to recommend the Amethyst lodge to any of our friends who stay in Jasper and we look forward to staying with you again in the near future. Thanks again.

I really liked this hotel. It is located about a 15 minute walk from the main centre of Jasper and is in a very peaceful location. Our room was more like a mini appartment. You walked into a living room area, complete with fridge, microwave, kitchen area, sofa and tv, and then walked through to the main bedroom area (another big TV) with a bathroom off. it. All very clean and comfortable. There was a bar terrace on the 2nd floor with happy hour every night and great views over the mountains. The restaurant was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. There was also a great pool and outdoor whirlpool area. This hotel was excellent value for money and I would definitely recommend it.

I was one of the fortunate folks who went to Hinton on Monday this week and became blocked from getting back to Jasper by the accident that closed the highway for 14 hours! I had gone to Hinton to do a few things - taking with me only pocket money. After several hours of waiting for news of when we could get back home (and back to business) we decided to take a room at Pocahontas to wait...
Well - remember I had taken only pocket money. Credit cards were left at home. It was easy to book a room with the number in my head but when we got to the desk to check in - well, the gentleman at the desk was very gracious to give us a key - even though he knew he should have a card or some ID...I must thank MPL and the desk at Pocahontas for taking the chance and renting a room to us. The highway didnt actually let us go home until 5am!! The rest was must appreciated.

Maintenence staff was exceptional! Excellent waitress in the restaurant. Very friendly and knowledgable. Many compliments to the staff.

Rooms were the best we've been in. Very homey feeling! Service in the restaurant was outstanding! One of the best cabins we have ever stayed in.
